A quiet morning catching up with the world at the wayside Inn, Kalaghoda, Mumbai.
The two oxen, Tanhya and Sarja, friends yoked together, cross the lines of their fortune which meet at a horizon that will always remain distant and unreachable for them.
Sisterhood and the bonds of the community see us through the vagaries of time and tide.
I have worked in the art world for almost ten years and every now and then I am still surprised by the different viewpoints that exist on the topic. For example, when I work I have a very functional view - I tend to think of an artwork as a thing made out of canvas, paint, steel, bronze, plastic or a combination of materials. This thing (or pair of things) needs to be framed, installed, condition checked, repaired, crated, flown, customs cleared, preferably not damaged and especially not lost.
