The children from a rural village appear to live in some poverty. However the whole village depended largely on selling handicrafts to the tourists who made a stop on their way to the game reserves at Hwange. 90 % of animals have been lost since Mugabe seized and sub divided land and Africa’s bread basket collapsed forcing people to hunt animals for food. Zimbabwe had 620 private game reserves before the land seizures began. By 2007 ( Latest figures I could find) only 14 remained.
Of course the tourists who supported the village have also disappeared.
