Describe your early memories of your emerging talent as an artist?: 
Being helped by my father who was a talented water-colourist with school art projects and getting good marks. Also the presence of an Edward Wadsworth print in our home would set me off day-dreaming and make me want to stay in and paint while the other kids were outside playing football. Seeing Dali's work cemented my desire to become a successful painter at an early age.
Formal Training: 
B.A Honours Degree Fine Art University of Ulster.
Informal Training: 
Would consider myself mostly self taught,learnt nothing at Art College!
Other influences: 
The Surrealists;DeChirico,Magritte. The Scottish Realists of the early 90's;Stephen Conroy and Stephen Campbell. The music of The Doors and frequent visits to California,also the local landscape where I live at Tyrella Beach in the North of Ireland-one of the most beautiful places on Earth!
Admired Artists: 
DeChirico,Dali,Stephen Conroy,Nicholas Jolly,Hilo Chen.
Role of figurative art: 
" If a man wants to become an artist then he must first cut out his own tongue" Henri Mattise.
Other Interests: 
Canoeing,cycling.
