Describe the extent of your talent as an artist:
I am a master carver and have done at least on piece of every style of carving (In the round, relief, minature, decorative, furniture, architectural) known. I have begun to work in bronze too and the skills honed by my many years carving have made the transistion quite easy.
Describe your early memories of your emerging talent as an artist?:
When I was nine or ten I wanted sculptures and carvings I saw personally, in books or in pictures. Obviously this wasn't reasonable so I began to carve with a pen knife to try to reproduce them.
When I got into my thirties, I purchased real carving tools and began to really produce pieces that I could take pride in.
After one of these was so popular that it was requested as a bronze, I also began working clay to bronze.
Since moving to Taos NM in 2006 i am able to interact with many artist working in different mediums and styles, a very enriching experience.
